Description: Much has been said about 2008 being a ‘year of breakthrough’; breakthrough for ourselves, for our cities and for our nation. Those who engage in movement in worship will be aware of the prophetic edge in what they do. On this weekend we want to respond to the Lord together, to push beyond some of the boundaries of convention or expectation. There will be opportunity to hone existing skills, to develop new ones, to be willing to experiment and connect with others willing to do the same. It will also be a lot of fun!

This is intended for men and women who are not beginners, but have attended a workshop or course in movement or dance and who regularly engage in worship using this creative expression.
On the Friday evening, we will have a meal together (either Indian or Chinese food - please state preference) and will get to know one another. On the Saturday we will have some sessions altogether and some separate zones for experimentation in new areas.
The workshop is run by the Scottish base of Movement in Worship and hosted by the Wellsprings Community, which is establishing a house of prayer on the eastern boundary of Edinburgh. Andy Au and Kirsty Hallett will be travelling up from the Brighton base of Movement in Worship to lead the weekend, in conjunction with the Scottish team.
